Lulu Dark and the Summer of the Fox

The second book in the popular Lulu Dark series, Lulu Dark and the Summer of the Fox puts this “reluctant girl detective” back in the middle of a mystery, investigating and slewthing her way through its pages. What poor reluctant Lulu really wanted to be doing is relaxing on her summer vacation, putting her detective days behind her for good – but then, that’s not as good of a story.

There’s no explanation about the appearance of a pink scooter on the book’s cover, but that’s ok – just having it there is enough for us to mention it.

And speaking of the cover, it’s waterproof. Take it to the beach or read it in the tub.

I think riding scooters is associated with being carefree on vacation, so that’s probably why the heroine is shown riding a scooter. She’s clearly riding a geared Vespa or something similar, probably in a foreign country with no helmet laws.
