It’s not billed as a toy, but I’m guessing it is one, since there’s no street legal lights and it can only haul a maxium of 100 pounds. It has a max speed of 15 miles per hour. No price is listed.

Along with Fisher-Price’s Laugh & Learn: Shop and Learn Walker, Hasbro’s Fur Real Friends Biscuit My Lovin Pup and Hannah Montana’s Malibu Beach House, the Classic Lights & Sounds Tricycle from Radio Flyer has made the 2008 “holiday hot toys” list from Toys R Us. But then, we already knew it would.

My scooter friend Lesley sent me a link to this toy she found at Toys R Us: the Fisher-Price Little People Sarah Lynn and Her Scooter. The set includes Sarah Lynn, her dog, their little pink helmets, the scooter, and some presents that Sarah Lynn is taking to a birthday party. All for $10.99.

We are finally settling in to our new house, and in that process, I’m finding things that I’ve had in storage that I forgot that I owned. One example: My pink and orange (and purple and yellow and white) Groovy Girls scooter that I bought on ebay a couple of years ago. The reason it first caught my eye was because it had a cheetah scooter seat cover on it.

The Groovy Girls Scooter was announced in 2003, but is no longer available as a Groovy Girls accessory.

You can not make this stuff up – although you may like to once you hear how much a Spiderman action figure on a pink scooter goes for at auction.

I found this photo on the Geek Orthodox blog, and its publisher Reis gave me permission to use his photo here. Reis tells me it was produced by Marx in 1967, and also gave me this link to an auction where one recently sold for over $1,300.

Reis, by the way, rides a scooter… but not a pink one.

Lisa sent me another photo of one of her pink scooter collection (remember the Barbie series?). This time, it’s her pink Pottery Barn scooter lamp ridden by “Trendy Tracy,” a Ty doll that just happens to look like Lisa when she has long hair. Lisa found her lamp on ebay a few years ago, and they can occassionally still be found there for various prices. The tail light, blinkers, and headlight all light up.

P.S. Happy Birthday, Lois!! (that’s my sister). Hey, you know what? Trendy Tracy looks a little like Lois, too.

I found this super cute Radio Flyer pink scooter on Amazon.com. It’s not available until September 15, but you can pre-order it now and get it when it gets in stock. Suggested retail is $79.99.

The has a steel frame and non-slip wheels, and includes flashing turn signals and a honking horn. In true scooter fashion, there’s even some storage space under the seat.

The Radio Flyer scooter also also comes in red.

Up and coming pink scooter drivers in the UK will love this hot little electric pink scooter from Injusa. I was able to find it at Amazon UK (£139.95), Pixmania.com (£149), Halfords (£159.99), and quite a few other online stores.

The catalog listings state that it’s a 6 volt scooter with a foot control pedal and an automatic brake and stabilizers. Top speed is 6 kilometers per hour, or just under 4 mph. Maximum kid weight is 30 kilograms, or approximately 66 pounds.

You learn a lot about your friends when they send you photos of their Barbie on its pink Vespa. I’ll let her images speak for themselves.
