Where ya been????  I miss you! I found this super cute two-tone pink ET4 in Newport Beach California.  It was in a store that specialized in restorations, but it wasn’t for sale.  It is the owner’s wife’s bike…her baby   It is super cute!  Hope all is well.  Have a very Merry Christmas!

If you’ve been wondering about the pause in scoot|pink posts, it’s because I was in London for the past week. I did my best to find a pink scooter or scooterist to photograph for the site. Even with inclement weather, scooterists are everywhere in London, nearly all sporting neon lime safety jackets or vests, and about half wearing lap aprons. But none were in pink. I figured that with all the scooters in that city, I might see just one measly pink scooter, but no.

While it has nothing at all to do with pink scooters, I have to show off this photo that I tried to take of a tree near Kensington Palace. As I was taking the photo, this crazed pigeon decided to try to land on my lens. Or my face. Or somewhere I didn’t certainly didn’t want a pigeon to land, in any case. But it did make for a good photo.

And now, back to the search for all things pink and scootery!

A shot after 103 miles. The ride was very tiring and emotional, but worth every mile.

This is a photo by Shaners Beckers that is another Flickr find. This fleet of Vespa LXs is dressed up as flamingos, he says, to advertise pink flamingos arriving at the Seattle zoo. I wonder what the riders were wearing?

When I saw this photo, I had to ask the photographer Daniel Anton for permission to post it here. He tells me that he took it this past June while on a trip through Europe. He took the photo in the city of Tallinn in Estonia. For more photos from his tour, you can check out his Flickr photostream. He didn’t know what brand or model it is, and I couldn’t read the badge on the front. Anyone know what it is?
