Kelle sent me these two photos of a great pink and white Vespa ET she saw. She writes:
“Hey Crystal
Where ya been???? I miss you! I found this super cute two-tone pink ET4 in Newport Beach California. It was in a store that specialized in restorations, but it wasn’t for sale. It is the owner’s wife’s bike…her baby
It is super cute! Hope all is well. Have a very Merry Christmas!
Kelle”

Leanne in Mifflinburg, Pa. sent this photo and wrote: “Look who I found checking out my scooter ‘Betty’ at our Christkindl Market! St. Nick says he’s think of going green and getting his elves hook up, perhaps pink for all the girl elves? Got to love Ho Ho. Best of Wishes This Holiday Season!”
Thank you Leanne! and happy holidays to all scoot|pink readers.

Louise sent me this photo of her riding her Bolwell Mio. She sent me this subtle hint:
“Here is a pic of me and my scooter. I just found your website and I love your scooter seat covers, I hope you will one day have the Bolwell covers on there so I can get one for my scooter Sally. We have been together for only a couple of months… we get lots of stares on the streets of Sydney…. I would love her to have a pink leopard skin seat cover.”

I received these photos from Danae of Portland, OR, and had to share both the note and photos:
Hey Little Lady,
Love the site! Here is a pick of my little pink scooter and I in Portland Oregon where we currently live. I recently got wedded in Vegas but my scoot didn’t make the journey with me. However the scoot and I will be packing up and heading on an adventure to Guam with my husband where we will explore the island together and learn to surf (I am working on installing a makeshift surf board rack… any tips would be appreciated! )
Warm regards,
Danae W.
Best of luck in your adventures, Danae! And check out this link to the Carver Surfboard Rack for scooters.

Ok, so it’s not pink, but this has to be the cutest armored jacket I have ever seen: The Armadillo Scooter Wear Scarlet Mac. I heard about it thanks to Chelsea at Scoot Richmond, who wrote about it in her store’s newsletter. I wrote to ask her more about it, and she reports:
[It's] a jacket I’d DEFINITELY buy if I didn’t already have 2 red riding jackets, hehe.
ADORABLE. OMG. Everyone that puts it on looks amazing.
Sizing is much less generous than the parka. Apparently the parkas are made with Northern Europeans/English in mind, and the macintosh is more for the Southern European tiny girls. That applies to the weather that it is appropriate for as well. It does not have a removable liner, and as such is basically a spring/fall/wet summer day jacket. Definitely not warm enough for all winter use unless you were in a snowsuit underneath.
Decent waterproofing combined with ingenious button placement will keep the wearer dry in most weather. I wouldn’t test it out in a deluge or anything.
The length is REALLY nice, especially when combined with a wet seat.
The sleeves have thumbie holes in the knit cuff, hooray! The real sleeve of the jacket almost covers that bit up, but it’s a nice feature to keep cold air from blowing up your sleeves and such.
Did I mention that’s it’s adorable?
It’s available from the company in the UK for £112.00, or drop by Scoot Richmond and try one on. The Mac comes in a black men’s version, and Armadillo also makes a very cool armored scooter parka.

If you’ve been wondering about the pause in scoot|pink posts, it’s because I was in London for the past week. I did my best to find a pink scooter or scooterist to photograph for the site. Even with inclement weather, scooterists are everywhere in London, nearly all sporting neon lime safety jackets or vests, and about half wearing lap aprons. But none were in pink. I figured that with all the scooters in that city, I might see just one measly pink scooter, but no.
While it has nothing at all to do with pink scooters, I have to show off this photo that I tried to take of a tree near Kensington Palace. As I was taking the photo, this crazed pigeon decided to try to land on my lens. Or my face. Or somewhere I didn’t certainly didn’t want a pigeon to land, in any case. But it did make for a good photo.

And now, back to the search for all things pink and scootery!

scoot|pink reader Annette me this photo of her pink Lance scooter, along with this note:
Hey Crystal!
I totally love your site & read it every day! I love to see everyone’s pink scoots & was fortunate enough to get one this year, too. I’m sending you pics of my Lange Venice 150 that I added a bit of graphics to as well as my newest acquisition… my Pink Panther on a Pink Scooter watch! I bought it on ebay!
Thanks for doing what you do!
Thank you, Annette, for sharing your scooter passion with other scoot|pink readers.

scoot|pink reader Angie/Bonegirl is now sporting a new bone-covered scooter seat cover on her Buddy. I saw the fabric and just had to make it for her. While I didn’t expect anything in return, she graciously made the offer to donate its value to Kaleb’s fund, which is a savings account for my grandnephew who is fighting medulloblastoma. Thank you Angie!
Unfortunately, Bonegirl’s also sporting a thumb splint in the photo, one of the drawbacks of driving a bazillion miles on her beloved scooter. Please send get-well karma her way.
See more photos of the scooter seat cover and thumb splint in Bonegirls’s Flickr photostream.

If I were in the market for a half-helmet, I’d definitely put the Bell Shorty Helmet
on the short list.
